Jonathan M. Sykes, MD, FACS

Jonathan M. Sykes, MD, is Professor Emeritus and former Director of Facial Plastic Surgery at the University of California, Davis Medical Center.

He is editor of 6 textbooks and has written over 225 scientific articles, book chapters, and other papers in the medical literature.

He is a highly sought after lecturer, having given over 1000 lectures locally, nationally, and internationally.

He has reviewed scientific papers for the Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery, the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and The Laryngoscope.

He has performed over 20,000 surgical procedures, and is an expert in rhinoplasty and aging-related surgeries such as facelift, browlift, and eyelid lift surgery. He has instructed many people on the anatomy and injection technique for neuromodulators and is an instructor for many filling agents. He has been asked to perform live demonstration surgeries in over 15 countries.

Dr. Sykes has a passion for children and enjoys surgery for cleft deformities and craniofacial surgery. He has gone on over 25 humanitarian missions to many countries including the Philippines, El Salvador, Honduras, Russia, Bolivia, Brazil, and China.

He has served on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) for 10 years, having been Western Region Vice President, Vice President of Education, and most recently President in 2010. He recently co-chaired the Many Faces of Giving campaign for the AAFPRS and helped raise over $4 million for facial plastic surgery education, humanitarian efforts, and research.

He has been awarded the prestigious William Wright Award for teaching and the 1887 Award for community service and humanitarian missions by the AAFPRS.

Dr. Sykes is most proud of his teaching, having contributed to the training of over 75 residents and personally trained 28 fellows in facial plastic surgery.

Ruth E. Tedaldi, MD

Ruth Ehrman Tedaldi, MD, is a dermatologist who specializes in aesthetic dermatology in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She trained at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, and Weill Cornell College of Medicine in New York City, and is currently a member of the medical staff at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and the founding partner of Dermatology Partners, Inc., in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She has been involved in multiple aesthetic clinical trials and is proud to have worked with many of the cutting-edge research and development teams in the aesthetic medicine field.

Her passion for the past 7 years has been the use of cosmeceuticals and she serves as a medical advisor for RegimenPro^®, an on-line skin care dispensary site that delivers doctor-recommended products to patients.

Dr. Tedaldi is the founding member of The Gist Show on You Tube. The program aims to raise public awareness of all aspects of aesthetic medicine.

Dr. Tedaldi lectures nationally and internationally and has been very involved in cosmeceutical education in support of products dispensed by physicians for their patients. Cosmetic procedures delivered to patients without adequate daily topical skin care is the antithesis of the relationship she strives to establish.

She is a member of many organizations, including the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. She has served on multiple medical advisory boards and training panels for Allergan, Merz, Revision Skincare^®, SkinMedica_®, SkinCeuticals, Senté^®, Biopelle, ZO^® Skin Health, and ISDIN.

Dr. Tedaldi lives in Boston with her husband, Jake Tedaldi, a veterinarian, and is the proud mother of 4 sons, 2 daughters, and 2 grandchildren so far.

Craig F. Teller, MD, has been practicing medical and cosmetic dermatology for over a decade. An honors graduate of The University of Texas - Houston Medical School, he completed a dermatology residency at Baylor College of Medicine. Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology, he is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Texas at Houston Medical School. He co-owns Bellaire Dermatology Associates in Houston, Texas. Glenn Vallecillos, MD, FACS

Glenn Vallecillos, MD, FACS, is a Diplomate and an elected member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons in private practice in Beverly Hills, California.

He is the Principal of Integrative Operating Theatres, a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center located in the heart of the Beverly Hills triangle.

Dr. Vallecillos has a practice emphasis on minimally invasive complex facial surgery, revision surgery of the nose and breasts, and regenerative cell-assisted therapies. He is regarded as a pioneer in the adaptation and utilization of combined soft tissue contraction technologies to achieve outstanding results in high-definition facial and body contouring.

Dr. Vallecillos is an active speaker at national and international events, including Plastic Surgery The Meeting (organized by the ASPS), the International Neurotoxin Association’s biennial TOXINS Conferences, the California Society of Facial Plastic Surgery Annual Meeting, the Multispecialty Aesthetic Conference, the International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses meetings, and the IMCAS World Congress held annually in Paris.

Dr. Vallecillos has served as a P.A.L.E.T.T.E. faculty member since 2008 and is recognized as a leading expert in minimally invasive soft tissue enhancements. He has trained thousands of top-ranked physicians, surgeons, and aesthetic medicine practitioners throughout the United States and internationally in advanced aesthetic injection techniques. He is a Galderma GAIN Master Trainer, and served as the Chief Clinical Investigator for Coapt Systems’ Novielle injectable filler study and as a consultant for InMode and Hans BioMed.

His current areas of interest include stem cell translational medicine and cellular reprogramming in its application to longevity and de-aging.

Hermine Warren, DNP, APRN, CANS, ISPAN-F, CNM

Hermine Warren is a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) who has been in nursing since 1974, with an advanced practice degree since 1980. She is also a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) in southern California, an educator/clinical trainer both nationally and internationally, and a GenNOW and P.A.L.E.T.T.E faculty member.

Hermine has maintained a clinical practice in the nonsurgical cosmetic subspecialty since 2004, and is also Co-Faculty for the Academy for Injection Anatomy—presented by American Med Spa Association—with Dr. Chris. Surek.

Hermine graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Colorado in 1979, and her DNP degree from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 2014. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing since 1979, and a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society since 2013.

Hermine is a published author within the aesthetic arena.

Wm. Philip Werschler, MD, FAAD, FAACS

Dr. Werschler is an assistant clinical professor in medicine/dermatology at the University of Washington, School of Medicine, in Seattle and the founding member of Spokane Dermatology Clinic. He is also the founder of Premier Clinical Research, a leading clinical trials unit in Spokane that specializes in dermatology product development. In that capacity, Dr. Werschler has been extensively involved in the introduction of lasers, toxins, fillers, and skin care products to the specialties of dermatology and plastic surgery.

He received his medical degree with honors from The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, where he also completed his residency and fellowship in dermatology after initial training in internal medicine at the University of Arizona. Later, he completed the Health Industry Management Program at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, in Evanston, Illinois.

Dr. Werschler is editor-in-chief, aesthetic dermatology, for The Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology, associate editor-in-chief of Cosmetic Dermatology, and a member of the editorial boards of Cutis, Journal of Drugs in Dermatology, and Skin & Aging. He has authored, produced, or otherwise developed more than 100 articles and chapters, principally in the area of cosmetic dermatology.

A fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and numerous other professional societies, Dr. Werschler is president of the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery. He has been an active leader during his entire professional career in the development of selected cosmetic techniques and procedures involved in non-surgical total facial rejuvenation. In addition, he is an internationally recognized expert in cosmetic office practice development, management, and marketing.

Haley J. Wood, MSN, WHNP, CANS

Haley Wood is a board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner and certified aesthetic nurse specialist. With over seventeen years’ experience as a nurse practitioner and over thirteen years’ experience as an aesthetic injector, Haley offers her patients a unique combination of experience, knowledge and personal attention. She currently owns her own aesthetic practice, The Look Facial Aesthetics, in Franklin, Tennessee.

Haley graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Evansville, Indiana, followed by training in trauma intensive care nursing at the University of Kentucky, in Lexington, Kentucky. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing degree at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.

Haley is a national trainer and speaker for Allergan and Galderma, a member of advisory boards for Allergan, Galderma, and Revance Therapeutics, and expert faculty for PALETTE Resources. Having trained over four thousand health care providers over her career, she serves as a national resource to new and experienced injectors. In addition, she has served as educator and trainer for new hires for Allergan. One of her greatest accomplishments was serving on six occasions as lead faculty for Allergan Medical Institute meetings, where she led and trained national trainers in the correct methods of aesthetic injecting.

Haley is a member of the International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses, and has served as a board member, program chair, and newsletter editor for that organization. She also created the first Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) review course and study guide as a resource to help eligible nurses become certified in aesthetic nursing.

She was voted among the top ten Most Loved Injectors by RealSelf, an online aesthetics resource, in 2017. She has also written an eBook, 50 Things You Need to be a Great Aesthetic Nurse, which serves as an introduction to nurses who are interested in the aesthetics field. In addition, she has served as a faculty mentor for doctoral nursing students, and assisted in the creation of a standardized checklist and intake assessment tool for use prior to dermal filler treatment called the ACIST.

As a nurse entrepreneur, she manages six staff members and offers a variety of nonsurgical procedures in her medical aesthetics practice. She is also editor-in-chief of her own beauty and wellness magazine, The Look. She enjoys mentoring nurse practitioner students through clinical rotations in aesthetics since formal education venues are not available.

In 2017, she created Aesthetic Masterminds, a mastermind group of nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and registered nurses who own their medical practices and meet annually to share best business practices. Collaboration among peers is essential to Haley’s career.

Aside from her professional accomplishments, Haley enjoys her time with her son, Will, and two goldendoodles, Annie and Wriggle.

Steve Yoelin, MD

Steve Yoelin, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist based in Orange County, California, with over 22 years of experience in minimally invasive medical aesthetics, such as techniques using dermal fillers, collagen stimulators, and neurotoxins, as well as fat reduction procedures. He serves as a strategic advisor to companies ranging in size from innovative early-stage startups to multibillion-dollar industry leaders. He also operates a private practice that focuses on aesthetic injectables and has a multiyear waitlist, which he has built exclusively from repeat visits and word-of-mouth referrals.

Dr. Yoelin has trained other clinicians through 2,500+ industry-sponsored global training programs and hundreds of continuing medical education programs. He has also led dozens of clinical trials (Phases 1-4) and investigator-initiated trials and has authored or co-authored many peer-reviewed journal articles, posters, presentations, and a book chapter. In addition, he has been awarded several patents for his research.

Dr. Yoelin has performed dozens of fresh-frozen cadaver dissections over the past several years. He completed his Doctor of Medicine degree and ophthalmology residency at the University of California, Irvine. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture science and management, magna cum laude, from the University of California, Davis, where he was a member of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
